Reducing Eye Strain For The Artist

Over a long period of time, applying the tiny eyelash extensions to the tiny natural lashes can put a strain on your eyes. As lash artists we see eyelashes very close up because of the precision used in our work. We hunch over and lean our head in to be able to see these lashes, little do we realize we are straining our eyes and back during that time.

Eye strain can lead to the following:

-eye fatigue

-blurred vision

-burning and/or dry eyes

-depth perception disorders

-headaches

-vision loss

-nearsightedness

Here Are Ways You Can Save Your Eyes:

Exercise and Rest Your Eyes- Simply look away for 20 seconds and focus on an object across the room. Do this every 20 minutes.

Use Magnifying glasses- The higher the level, the less strain. As you may already know, the purpose of magnifying glasses is to allow individuals to see objects closer up. The higher magnifying level, the larger the lashes will appear. This will help reduce the amount of strain there is on your eyes.
